The Company for Cooperative Insurance Announces Appointment Audit Committee Member

Introduction	Cooperative Insurance Company announces that it has obtained the No Objection from the Insurance Authority on 27-10-1445 H corresponding to 06-05-2024 appointing a new member of the Audit Committee, Mr. Yaser Abbas Salman Abdulla. This is based on the Board of Directors resolution by circulation, on 30-04-2024 to appoint him as of the date of Insurance Authority approval.

Brief Resume of the Appointed Member	Mr. Yaser Abbas Salman has distinguished practical experience of 16 years, currently holding the position of partner and member of the Board of Directors of an international audit firm in the Kingdom of Bahrain. He previously held the position of Assistant Vice President of the Internal Audit Department at a regional bank after starting his career in the External Audit Department at one of the big four audit firms. He also holds many professional qualifications, including a fellowship from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and Certified Financial Services Auditors (CFSA) from the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) and other qualifications. In addition, the member holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Bahrain. A member of the Middle East Financial Services Working Group for an audit firm, he has also led multiple large cross-border risk advisory engagements across the Middle East including KSA, Oman and Sudan.
